What is Nizoral Cool Cream? (Ketoconazole Cream)?

Nizoral Cool Cream is a topical solution containing Ketoconazole as an active ingredient that offers cooling effect and relief to help cool down the skin and itchiness. The Antifungal cream has 20mg of Ketoconazole per gram. Tube of 5 grams.

Nizoral Cool Ketoconazole cream may be prescribed to treat a different types of fungal and yeast infections: These include ringworm (including ringworm rash), athlete's foot (also known as Tinea Pedis, which is a contagious fungal infection of the foot), jock itch rash (scientifically known as Tinea Cruris – red scaly and sometimes itchy patches between and/or around the legs), thrush infections of the skin and vagina (candidosis), and skin conditions that are caused by infection with the yeast Pityrosporum, such as seborrheic dermatitis which main symptoms include itchy, flaky skin and, redness and/or red pimples) and pityriasis versicolor.  The cream is recommended for other skin issues including Psoriasis (i.e. plaques, raised bumps filled with pus, scaly droplet lesions, white, yellow or red flaky skin as well as psoriasis symptoms surrounding the joints). Nizoral Cool Ketoconazole Cream is known as one of the best solutions, if not the best, to what causes yeast infections.

How to use Nizoral Cool Cream?

Directions

If you experience symptoms of thrush infections of the skin and vagina (candidosis), and pityriasis versicolor, apply Nizoral Cool Cream onto the affected and the immediate surrounding area once a day during a week for mild infections.

If you have athlete's foot (also known as Tinea Pedis), apply Nizoral Cool Cream onto the affected and the immediate surrounding area twice daily for a week of treatment in mild infection cases. For severe or large infections (if the symptoms are displayed on the sole or sides of the feet, for example), treatment needs to be extended three or four days after symptoms disappear to prevent relapse.

In case of seborrheic dermatitis, apply Nizoral Cool Cream onto the affected area once or twice a day during 2 to 4 weeks depending on the severity of the infection. Maintenance therapy is applied once or twice weekly.

For cases of yeast infections and Tinea Versicolorapply Nizoral Cool Cream for 2 to 3 weeks once or twice a day.

For patients experiencing jock itch rash (Tinea Cruris) symptoms, apply Nizoral Cool Cream onto the affected and the immediate surrounding area once a day for 2 to 4 weeks.

Tinea corporis: apply Nizoral Cool Cream for 3 to 4 weeks once or twice a day.

When Should I Stop Using Nizoral Cool Cream?

Treatment should be extended three or four days after ALL symptoms disappear to prevent relapse. Diagnosis may be reconsidered if no improvement is noted after 4 weeks of treatment.

Can It Be Used For Eczema?

Yes. As eczema is a kind of dermatitis, also known as atopic dermatitis, and that it is a Ketoconazole 2% cream, it can be used for eczema because the main active ingredient focuses on suppressing fungi, including yeasts, itchy rashes, redness, cracking, crusting and flaking. Nizoral Cool Cream is even more a good treatment for eczema, as it’s not uncommon to experience both seborrheic dermatitis and eczema simultaneously because one skin condition can trigger the other one and vice versa.
