What’s Voltaren Emulgel? What does Voltaren Gel do?
Voltaren Emulgel 20G, also known as Voltaren Gel, is non-steroid anti-inflammatory medicine designed for relief of joint pains in ankles, elbows, feet, hands and wrists. The main active ingredient is Diclofenac (1.16%). Diclofenac is a chemical ingredient used to lower inflammation and pain due to Arthritis and/or Tendonitis, which is an inflammation of the tendons. In other words, it blocks pain and inflammation. People who have osteoarthritis in both knees report Voltaren Emulgel give them a real relief.
It is used to reduce lower back pain such as strained back and other sore back muscles.

How to use Voltaren Gel?
It is very easy to use. Voltaren Gel dosage: Just apply over the area being treated three to four times a day and rub into the skin. The amount needed depends on the size of the affected area, but generally, it is suggested to use enough gel to cover the area being treated. If conditions are not improving within seven days, stop using it and contact your healthcare provider.
Wash your hand with soap after applying the solution. Well, except if the affected area is part of the hand! Place the cream at room temperature and keep out of the reach of children.
Voltaren Ingredients
Voltaren Emulgel Active Ingredient is Dioclofenac Diethylamine 1% w/w. It is commonly referred as Voltaren Gel 1.16.
Its Non-active Ingredients are carbomer, cocoyl caprylocaprate, diethylamine, isopropyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, macrogol cetostearyl ether, perfume, propylene glycol, and purified water.
Warnings & Drug Side Effets
Just like any medicine, Voltaren side effects may occur. Studies show most common Voltaren side effects, if any, are skin reactions such as dermatitis.
It may increase the probability of heart attack or stoke potentially leading to death. Probabilities get higher in patients having heart conditions. Do not use the cream just before of after heart surgeries.
It may cause ulcers and stomach/intestines bleedings.
If you are allergic to Diclofenac and/or have had asthma, hives and other allergic reactions to NSAIDs, do not use this product.
If you are pregnant or breasfeeding, do not use the cream.
It may increase blood pressure, do not use it if you have any heart disease.
Get emergency help right away if you have any of the following symptoms: shortness of breath or trouble breathing, chest pain, weakness in one side of your body, slurred speech, or swelling of the face or throat. Stop using this producy and call your healthcare provider right away if you have: skin rash or fever with blisters.
Do not apply the cream to infected, scratched, or open skin. Do not apply to skin rashes or eczema. This product is for external use only. Do not put it in your mouth, eyes and mucous membranes. Do not swallow it. If it gets in your eyes and mucous membranes, rinse well with clean water the affected area.
If you use oral NSAIDs, do not take this cream.
