Psoriasis Diet

Hi,

I have been experiencing Psoriasis for more than 10 years. I know some products that can treat psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis (i.e. Nizoral), but I just want to know if there is anything I can eat that would improve my condition.

Some people with Psoriasis conditions report that eating differently than they are used to and taking supplements can help. Although we think the best treatment for Psoriasis is using Ketoconazole as a main ingredient, here are 7 foods you should avoid eating if you have Psoriasis:

  1. Alcohol: Alcohol opens blood vessels. Some cells believed to be responsible for psoriasis become biigger and can trigger psoriasis more easily.
  2. Spicy food: Some psoriasis patients report suffering from more psoriasis after eating spicy food and any spices
  3. Red meat: Any meat containing arachidonic acid should be avoided because it can make the skin more inflamated and increase psoriasis symptoms.
  4. Caffeine: It is still unclear why caffeine worsen psoriasis, but many people have seen improvements cutting caffeine off their diet.
  5. Dairy products: The same type of acid is found in red meats and protein casein, which lead to inflammation. Therefore, you might want to stay awat from cow milk and egg yolks.
  6. Gluten: According to researchers, gluten found in wheat, barley and some other grass-related grains increases psoriasis sensitivity.
  7. Citrus fruits: Oranges, lemnons, grapefruit and other citruses can be a cause of allergic reaction that trigger psoriasis.
